Even though the California Academy of Science is temporarily closed to the public, they've found a great new way to bring science into your home.
Academy @ Home is a curated selection of interactive science-centric games, videos, science projects, and live animal webcams to keep you updated on your favorite animals. The cams capture footage of the penguins, Reef Lagoon, Philippine Coral Reef, and the Farallon Islands featuring seabirds, seals, and sea lions.
They also have Science Lesson Plans for kids in Preschool to 12th grade and interactive programs like Macro Color where you can get an up close, magnified look at butterfly wings, and explore your own backyard with iNaturalist.
