The Cure Confirm That New Music Is Coming
As part of their 40th anniversary, The Cure has confirmed that they will be creating some new music for their fans. “I’ve suddenly fallen in love with the idea of writing new songs,” frontman Robert Smith explained in a new interview with BBC 6 Music.
The last time the band put out any new music, it was a cover of The Beatles "Hello, Goodbye" which was released on a Paul McCartney tribute album in 2014. Until that point, their most recent studio output came via their 2008 album, 4:13 Dream. The English Rockers also announced that they will be performing on the final day of Meltdown Festival on June 24th in London.
