Aerosmith's Joe Perry Recovering After Collapse

Aerosmith's Joe Perry is recovering in a New York hospital after collapsing in a Madison Square Garden dressing room Saturday. The legendary guitarist had just surprised concertgoers by making a surprise appearance during Billy Joel's final concert at the venue. The two performed the Aerosmith hit "Walk this Way." There's no official word on what caused Perry to collapse. However, sources say paramedics -- who treated the rocker for 40 minutes before loading him into an ambulance -- inserted a tracheal tube down his throat to open his airway. There's no word on whether the unexpected ailment will affect Perry's solo tour, which is scheduled to get underway on November 30. He's also due to rejoin his fellow Aerosmith bandmates for a Las Vegas residency beginning in April of next year.
