Good News: Batkid Is Cancer Free
Miles Scott, 10, melted hearts at the age of 5 when the Make-A-Wish Foundation let him take over San Francisco as Batkid in 2013. Scott was diagnosed with leukemia when he was just over a year old. At the end of his treatment in 2013, more than 20,000 volunteers and late mayor Ed Lee turned San Francisco into Gotham City for the young cancer fighter. Scott, now a fifth grader, is considered cancer free. He has a passion for science and love robots. He enjoys playing baseball and assisting on the family farm.
