Bay Area Schools To Remain Closed Until May
Public health officials and county superintendents for Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties have decided to keep schools closed until May 1. Schools officials were hoping to reopen schools at the end of Spring Break however, as coronavirus cases around the Bay Area continue to rise they wanted to make sure that the safety of students and faculty was the top priority.
Gov. Newsom said in a statement last week that he believed that schools would be closed through the summer.
