Zappos is usually known for being an online shoe and clothing retailer but in light of the events happening in the world the latest Nike's. Since the beginning of the pandemic the company has noticed that most callers found small talk with their reps reassuring, so now they are encouraging people to call for anything. Need a recipe? Having a bad day? Need someone to help you with research? We're here to lend an ear," says the website for the "Customer Service for Anything" line.

"We hired empathetic people, and that allowed us to repurpose our well-trained staff to help people beyond purchasing shoes." said Zappos "Entrepreneur in Residence" Brian Kalma to CBS.
