Platinum-selling country trio the Dixie Chicks have announced that they will change their name to 'The Chicks.' The decision comes after their acknowledgment of criticism over its use of “Dixie,” a nostalgic nickname for the Civil War-era South. The Chicks have joined a few other artists including "David Lee. Roth ' or simply David L. Roth or 'El Roth as he wants to be known and Lady Antebellum who also have changed things up. Lady A recently made headlines after dropping the Antebellum due to the ties to the civil war and slavery in the wake of the protests over George Floyd's death.
