Scorpions drummer Mikkey Dee has confirmed his battle with COVID-19.
Dee's announcement, which he made Monday, came after Don Dokken let the cat out of the bag, saying Dee had "lost 35 pounds" and "was in really bad shape" after contracting the coronavirus in Australia. "I did get corona and was sick for about one month," Dee wrote on Instagram. "I am now fully recovered since mid-April. I was already playing hockey and drums by the end of April."
Dee went on to imply while Dokken may be an exceptional musician, his reporting skills might not be up to par. "Unfortunately, my good friend Don got some info wrong," the onetime Motorhead drummer wrote. "I did not get corona in Australia; the virus was contracted in Sweden. I did not lose 35 pounds; I lost 15 pounds. I can't wait for things to go back to normal so we can hit the road again."
