Here's Why The Sky Is Orange Around The Bay Area

No! We are not being invaded by alien life forms. If you are wondering why the sky is orange around the Bay Area today there is a perfectly good scientific explanation.

Due to the recent California and Oregon wildfires there is a lot of smoke drifting high in the atmosphere. The thick blanket of toxic air is traveling around us.

"Extremely dense & tall smoke plumes from numerous large wildfires, some of which have been generating nocturnal pyrocumulunimbus clouds ('fire thunderstorms), are almost completely blocking out the sun across some portions of Northern California this morning," UCLA climate scientist Daniel Swain shared on Twitter.

If you are able to get an N95 mask make sure you are wearing it today due to the poor air quality.
