Have You Heard of the Candy Fairy? Martha Breaks it Down

The patented Martha Quinn method of having your kids consume less sugar over Halloween? Introducing ... the Candy Fairy! The Candy Fairy works like the Tooth Fairy, he or she comes into your house in the middle of the night, takes something away leaving a gift in exchange. The Tooth Fairy takes away a tooth and leaves a little gift, the Candy Fairy takes away candy and leaves a little gift. I let my kids enjoy their haul Halloween night. The next day they’d select 10 or so pieces of candy to enjoy then the rest gets left for the Candy Fairy! The story is the Candy Fairy uses the sweets for everything in her world- roads, buildings, pillows, shoes... so you're helping the Candy Fairy by giving her the candy. Then moms and dads you can either find a place to donate the candy (Operation Gratitude, Soldier's Angels and Ronald McDonald House all appreciate donations) or bring it into your office, making you the Candy Fairy! Your kids will eat way less Halloween candy without feeling deprived, it’s fun for them to leave a note and get a gift back from the Candy Fairy, and the Candy Fairy can build a new library ~Martha Quinn
