Berkeleyans between 14 and 25 years of age are encouraged to apply to be part of YouthWorks, which allows youth to get valuable work experience while getting paid.
YouthWorks places local youth in after-school jobs that last up to 7 weeks, for up to 15 hours per week, earning $12.00 per hour, beginning in early January. Youth can work in office administration, childcare and youth development, and more!
Applications are available now and are due by Friday November 3, 2017 (or sooner!)
Applications must be picked up in person at the YouthWorks office, 2180 Milvia St., first floor, and submitted by Nov. 3. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applicants must be at least 14 years old at the time they apply.
YouthWorks also is offering free resume workshops on Oct. 11, 18 and 25 in collaboration with the Berkeley Public Library. The workshops will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the third-floor electronic classroom at the library’s Central Branch, 2090 Kittredge St. Signups for the workshops are at the YouthWorks office at 2180 Milvia St., first floor.
