World Record 'Thriller' Dance in San Jose

Michael Jackson fans and zombie enthusiasts are invited to be part of a potentially record-breaking event just days before Halloween.

Thrill the World, a group that coordinates dancing to the King of Pop’s “Thriller” with participants from all around the globe, on Oct. 28 will attempt to break the world record for most people dancing to the early 1980s hit song.

Downtown Campbell on East Campbell Avenue will be among more than a dozen locations participating worldwide.

Workshops will be held every Wednesday through Oct. 25, 7-8 p.m. Participants are not required to take a workshop. The dance can also be learned from various online resources.

On Saturday, October 28th at 3pm, San Jose zombies will get back together at Adira Dance and Costume in San Jose to join in the attempt to break the Guinness Book World Record for largest number of people to simultaneous participate in a group dance event.
