2017 Winter Fireworks & Free “Disney on Ice” Show

Kickstart the holiday season with awesome winter fireworks and enjoy a special free Disney on Ice performance on the outdoor ice rink in Justin Herman Plaza.

After the performance, be sure to stick around for Embarcadero Center’s 31st Annual Building Lighting Ceremony when more than 17,000 lights illuminate the San Francisco skyline on four iconic buildings and magical fireworks light up the sky.

Pier 39 invites you to join special friends from the Disneyland Resort at the annual Pier 39 Tree Lighting Celebration on Sunday, November 19.

Welcome the holiday season with a day of holly-jolly magic for the whole family.

  • Noon–3 pm: Meet and greet with friends from Disneyland Resort
  • Noon–5 pm: Letters to Santa with the United States Postal Service (Near Entrance Plaza)
  • 2–5 pm: Holiday crafting with the Museum of Craft Design (Carousel Stage)
  • 4:30-5:30 pm: Grammy Award-Winning Mariachi Divas (Main Stage)
  • 6 pm: Tree lighting with friends from Disneyland Resort (Main Stage)
 

Macy’s in Union Square unveils their 31st Annual “Holiday Windows” with elaborately-decorated holiday window displays all along the outside of the building featuring some adorable (and adoptable) cats and dogs to help benefit the SPCA and find these furry friends a new home.

2017 Macy’s Holiday Windows-November 17, 2017 – January 1, 2018-Macy’s Union Square, 170 O’Farrell Street, San Francisco-FREE

Hours: 11 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm (most days), but please check the 2017 hours before heading out. Please note, they’re closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Over the past ten years, the Holiday Windows have helped the SF SPCA raise over $500,000 and find homes for over 2,500 animals.

Volunteer-What better way to celebrate the holidays than to volunteer to be a greeter at Holiday Windows? Greeters do the important job of greeting the public, talking about the animals in the windows and about the SF SPCA, directing people to the adoption center inside, and asking for donations.> Sign up now (Volunteer opportunities fill up quickly)
