Totally Awesome Weekend Events in the Bay

Looking for something to do this weekend?? Friend to the show Greg Kihn will be performing at the 2nd Annual Rock a Mile in her Shoes Benefit Event at Bar Back in San Jose!

Rock a Mile in Her Shoes is a benefit show for the YWCA Silicon Valley, supporting their sexual assault and domestic violence programs. The evening features the Greg Kihn Band. Greg Kihn is a member of the San Jose Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the San Jose Radio Hall of Fame. 

There will be a silent auction and raffle with many great items, including a Greg Kihn autographed guitar, wine baskets, sports memorabilia and many other great items. All guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped Christmas gift for children in YWCA shelters. All gift donors will receive 5 free raffle tickets in exchange for their donation. All raffle and silent auction proceeds go directly YWCA Silicon Valley as well as $10 from every ticket sold. General Admission tickets are $40 advance and $45 at the door. VIP tickets are available. Show your Aloha Spirit by supporting children in the Bay Area who are less fortunate at the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce's 5th Annual Hawaiian Holiday in the Bay charity event.

 The goal of this event is to collect toys and raise money for the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program (the cities largest and the nation’s oldest program of its kind. Since 1949)

They'll have great raffle prizes including; round trip air tickets courtesy of Hawaiian Airlines and Southwest Airlines. 

There will be live music by Elima (www.elimafive.comwho will be playing popular Hawaiian and contemporary music, including some popular Christmas songs. Great island style food catered by the Paʻina Lounge & Restaurant.  

Entry Donation:

** $30 donation with a Toy Donation (Toys collected at the door by SF Firefighters)

** $40 donation with no Toy

A Gold Star Families Memorial Monument has been built in Hayward, California and they are inviting the public to join in the dedication ceremony on Saturday, December 2nd at Lone Tree Cemetery. Check out the flyer below or LISTEN to Mike's phone call.
