Super Bowl Sunday is coming up and the Avocado board predicts about $105 million pounds of avocados will be consumed so I thought I would cover the benefits of avocados. 

Avocados have lots of fiber. To lower your risk of heart disease and help you lose weight avocados can reduce LDL or the bad cholesterol while boosting the HDL or good cholesterol.

They have heart healthy omega 3 fats to help lower inflammation and reduce risk of some types of cancer. These same omega 3's are also great for your baby's brain development so avocado puree is a great first food for baby. 

Avocado is one of those fruits that have less pesticides so you don't have to buy organic avocados!
