1st American Woman Makes History at the Olympics with a Triple Axel

Mirai Nagasu from Montebello, California just became the 1st American woman to land a triple axel at the Olympics.

At just 24 years of age, Mirai landed the triple axel toward the beginning of her program during the team event. She is the third woman in Olympic history to land a triple axel during a competition at the Games. This is pretty awesome!!
