This is totally awesome news. Oakland basketball player Kevin Durant is putting his money where his mouth. Kevin Durant has committed $10 million and partnered with the Prince George’s Maryland public school system on a program called College Track. The program was created more than 20 years ago in California and helps disadvantaged kids — like KD once was — attend college and get launched into life.
Durant’s $10 million will seed construction and operating expenses of a local chapter of College Track, which is scheduled to open this year.
