Sammy Hagar and Grateful Dead's Bob Weir will be headlining the Acoustic-4-A-Cure benefit concert which will be held at the Fillmore in San Francisco.
The concert, now in its fifth year, benefits the pediatric cancer program at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in San Francisco, and will be held on May 15th at the Fillmore. Also joining them will be blues legend Taj Mahal, whose 75th birthday will be celebrated at the show. The former Van Halen singer, who cofounded the event with Metallica front man James Hetfield, says, "It's going to be a lot of fun and for an important cause – it just doesn't get any better than at this annual event." Are charity concerts the best way to raise money for causes?
Acoustic-4-A-Cure will also include Joe Satriani, Chad Smith, Michael Anthony, Kevin Cronin, Eddie Money and Vic Johnson already confirmed to perform.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 30 at 10am!
