Rock/Funk pioneer Sly Stone has been a bit of a recluse for the past 20-plus years but that's all about to change. A new feature length documentary about Sly is in the works and we will have a chance to hear from the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer in his own words.
Filmmaker Derik Murray says the documentary, produced by Network Entertainment, will feature new interviews and archival footage, tracing Stone's journey from childhood to current day. Stone, who hasn't been seen much publicly since his 1993 Hall of Fame induction and a 2006 Grammy tribute, has already sat for one interview and Murray hints that there are more to come.
A representative for Stone said, "Sly felt it was the right time for him to return to the spotlight and share his incredible journey with the world."
