I was noticing in the store that everything says Probiotics. What are probiotics??

Probiotics are live bacteria. We usually think of bacteria as a bad thing but we actually have a gazillion bacteria living in us that do good things. Some bacteria turns the food we eat into energy and boosts our immune system. So here are some foods that have good bacteria/probiotics in them; 

Yogurt has billions of healthy bacteria but be careful of the high sugar varieties

Miso Paste-You can make miso soup out of this it's full of antioxidants and helps boost your vitamin B12. 

Sauerkraut-That's cabbage that sits and grows its own good bacteria. It's fermented and the good bacteria can help fight off the bad bacteria and help restore your bacteria balance. 

Kombucha has tons of probiotics.
