Thank A Teacher With These Great Gift Ideas

How teachers would appreciate being appreciated on Teacher Appreciation Day! From a rock star science teacher in Concord, Victoria Acquistapace!

“Old school letters to teachersthat include specific information. Exactly HOW has the teacher made a difference in the student's life? To me these letters are equivalent to diamonds. Often the teacher is blind to their influence...I know that most of the time I can't see it myself (but I do teach Sophomore boys and they are a stoic bunch)

Secondarily any stress reduction gifts are lovely. As you know, the job is hard physically and mentally. I know that local spa businesses will sometimes go to schools (gratis) and teachers can sign up to get a 5 minute head and neck massage during break/lunch. This approach is re-juvenating.

Gift cards are also good because sometimes teachers don't have the extra budget for coffees and fun meals out. These ARE appreciated.

Another thing I love is when families have a specialty that they are super proud of...like lemon trees or a special cultural bread recipe or a unique cookie or some homemade jam and they share a sample with the teacher in appreciation."
