Today's wellness shot was inspired by Steph & Riley Curry who were spotted doing an adorable handshake after the Warriors won the Western Conference Finals.
Hand games, hand shakes or any other hand clapping activity you can do with your kids is very beneficial to them. Remember Miss Mary Mack?? I use to do this all the time with friends (see video below) it's fun for the kids but it's stealth learning. Hand games develop motor skills and coordination to get kids thinking along the lines of cooperation and communication. Hand games encourage eye contact and create shared experiences.
Check out the article I found from Today's Parent which features 10 classic hand-clapping games to teach your kid.
