I went vegetarian in the 80s, raised my kids plant-based, been vegan for the past four years (sorry animals it took me so long!) and was super soul-affirming to see the Kindness To Animals movement going strong in 2018. Spokespeople like James Aspey, Earthling Ed, Joey Carbstrong and Jane Velez-Mitchell have elevated animal awareness to new heights! This father-son duo was my favorite at the march. Their hand-made signs sum up the vegan lifestyle: Humanity and empathy for all beings!

Like I said in the podcast I’m more the type to stay at home and demonstrate my love for the vegan lifestyle by eating a Tofurky sandwich, but glad my son wanted to get involved in a vegan event. Brought about a bunch of new experiences!
