I thought for today's #wellnessshot I would share some #WednesdayWisdom from the Prince playbook.
I take you back to 1981, Prince was just about to go out on his controversy tour and The Rolling Stones invited him to open for them at the L.A. Coliseum. This was before Prince was even a household name. He goes out in front of a hundred thousand people in his little bikini underwear, his thigh-high boots, and trench coat because that's what Prince's vision was. Prince goes onstage and gets booed immediately. He doesn't even finish his set and Mick Jagger steps in to beg him to come back for the next night.
Cut to 2011, Prince plays a whopping 21-nights in Los Angeles to sold-out crowds. So pay no mind to what anyone says. Even if everyone you knows says your vision is a bad idea it DOES NOT mean it's a bad idea. In the words of Prince "In this life, you are on your own and If the elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy and punch a higher floor" (Let's Go Crazy).
