Today's #wellnessshot is inspired by a crazy situation I had back in the day on MTV with The Romantics. They said something to me that I felt was inappropriate. I'm sure they thought it was funny but I always held a grudge about the situation. However, when I saw them at our birthday bash not that long ago that bad feeling disappeared the minute I saw them. Letting go of that grudge was the best feeling I had.
If you ever had something funky go down with someone here's how you can find your way to forgiveness;
1. Staying stuck in that bitterness or negativity keeps you from enjoying your life. It doesn't mean denying or justifying the wrong done to you but it can lessen its grip on you and help you focus on other more positive parts of your life.
2. Forgiveness doesn't require reconciling or even speaking with the person who's harmed you.
3. Encourage thoughts of forgiveness within yourself but don't force it. You can even try a forgiveness meditation practice.
