Wellness Shot: Flu-Fighting Foods

As the temperature drops, the flu season is getting closer so I put together some foods that may help you fight infection and just overall make you feel better.

1. Ginger is always great. It helps you relieve congestion and it can be as effective as taking ibuprofen to release aches and pains. 

2. Drink low sodium vegetable juice to give you vitamins and minerals if you don't feel like eating.

3. Ice pops can help you numb sore throats.

4. You can make tea with turmeric. All you need is 1/4 teaspoon of just regular turmeric and a cup of warm water. Turmeric helps fight germs and inflammation. Turmeric, like ginger, is a good pain reliever.
