Wellness Shot: What To Do With Your Extra Halloween Candy

Your kids might already have gotten a bunch of Halloween candy, and maybe getting a bunch more October 31st, here are some tips for what to do with your leftover Halloween haul!

1.       Freeze candy to dole out during the year, as stocking stuffers or homework prizes

2.       (Popular in my house) Offer candy to the Tooth Fairy’s cousin, the Candy Fairy! Let your child choose favorite pieces, then leave the rest out for the Candy Fairy to collect. Sometimes the Candy Fairy leaves a thank u note or sticker or small gift. The Candy Fairy takes the treasure back to Candy Fairyland, where it’s used to build everything from roads to schools and playgrounds for candy fairies. The Candy Fairy’s associate in your house, most likely you Mom or Dad, can be an assistant candy fairy and drop off (ahem, the same) candy at your child’s school office where they might enjoy the snacks, or see below!

3.  You can ship your candy to Operation Gratitude where they then distribute the candy to veterans, first responders, and troops. CLICK HERE or see below for all the info you need to send your candy to Operation Gratitude!
