Whatever you know about Eddie and Dave, throw it out the window. A new Off-Broadway play is about to give us a "raucous retelling of the rise and fall of Pasadena's most groundbreaking 80s rockers." Of course, we're talking about Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth, although neither last name is used since this production is not an officially licensed VH show. Coming to New York City's Atlantic Theatre Company for only one month starting January 10th, "Eddie and Dave" will be about "hubris, friendship, family, fame, musical genius and what happens when the person you need is the one you find most irritating," according to the press release. What makes the performance stand out is that both leads are played by females, with writer Amy Staats starring as Eddie and Megan Hill as Dave.
