Kurt Cobain left some mighty big shoes to fill after his passing, but Joan Jett stepped up to the occasion when twice called upon. However, just because she's a hugely successful star herself doesn't mean she wasn't nervous. Speaking in a recent interview, Jett admits "it was petrifying" to take the mic at Nirvana's 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Jett says she was "scared s***less" when she received the call because she knew she could not turn down the offer. "I have to do this.' I mean, how, as a rock and roll fan, could you say no? As a Nirvana fan? So, that was not a possibility — saying no." Even though Jett expected "a certain level of anxiety," she recalls being calm through it all, which, "gave me a sense it was all right, just karmically".
