Weekend Events In The Bay Area

The Oakland A’s will host their annual FanFest on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9:30 am to 2 pm at Jack London Square.

FanFest will include autograph and Q&A sessions with players and coaches, appearances by Stomper and the Hall of Fame racers, as well as a ticket sales hub for fans to learn all about A’s Access.

FanFest will also feature free food trucks, a Community Zone, giveaways, and a merchandise station. NBC Sports California, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, and StubHub will also have booths and experiences for fans at the event.

2019 FanFest Schedule of Events (FanFest schedule and attendees are subject to change at any time)

  • 9:30 am – FanFest opens to the public
  • 9:45 am – Player Welcome Walk from Scott’s Seafood down Water Street to the Ferry Lawn
  • 10:00 am – Welcome Address and Player Introductions
  • 10:30 am – Q&A Sessions begin on Ferry Lawn Main Stage
  • 10:30 am – Food Trucks open
  • 2:00 pm – FanFest closes

The 2019 NHL All-Star game will be in San Jose with festivities taking place all weekend. For fans, there's Fan Fair at the San Jose Convention Center that runs Thursday night through Sunday. Federal employees affected by the shutdown can get into Fan Fair for FREE. NHL officials said 2,000 complimentary admission tickets will be available each day to federal employees, who can show their valid government ID at the convention center box office to receive up to four of the free tickets.

2019 Golden Gate Kennel Club Dog Show - Saturday & Sunday- 8 am to 5 pm

Dog lovers of all ages will come together at the Cow Palace to see who will be top dog at the 2019 Golden Gate Kennel Club dog show. The West's premier “benched” show will offer attendees a chance to meet and get to know the dogs on special benches organized by breed.

The Golden Gate Kennel Club Show ranks as one of the most prestigious in the nation. With a history dating back over 100 years, the event is one of the few remaining benched dog events in the country.

 A benched show means that all exhibiting dogs will be showcased together with all other dogs of the same breed. A rare opportunity to see hundreds of breeds all under one roof!

San Francisco City Job Fair-Saturday 01/26 10 am - 1 pm 

San Francisco Recreation and Parks, along with other government agencies will host the final in a series of three Saturday job fairs this month, Saturday, January 26 at the County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park.
