Wellness Shot: Draymond Green Tells Kids To Eat More Fruits & Veggies

My wellness shot today was inspired by Warriors star Draymond Green. He was on the court at Manzanita Elementary School in East Oakland and he scored major points with moms and dads! Draymond was talking to the kids about healthy eating specifically eating more fruits and vegetables. Draymond said his favorite fruit are oranges and his favorite veggie is zucchini. Which are both excellent choices!

Oranges help protect you from heart disease and give you more than 100% of the daily recommended amount of vitamin c which boosts your immune system and gives your skin a youthful glow. Meanwhile, Zucchini's are super helpful in the diabetes arena. It's low sugar and high fiber combination keeps your blood sugar stable and can keep it from spiking which helps prevent the development of type 2 diabetes. Zucchini's also have compounds that are good for your brain and eyes.
