Growing up your mom probably told you at one time or another not to go outside with wet hair because you would catch a cold, well it turns out that that is simply not true. A new study showed that many parents still believe that myth but according to doctors being cold has nothing to do with catching a cold. Dr. Isaac Bogoch, a clinical researcher at the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute, said that colds have nothing to do with the weather, they are viruses that circulate in the air. People tend to catch colds more often during the cold weather spells because they are more clustered together. Encouraging good hygiene and hand-washing is one of the number one ways to prevent getting sick.
