Wellness Shot: Diabetics Should Be Adding Nuts To Their Diet

A friend to the show recently shared with me that he is dealing with type 2 diabetes. It's the most common form where your body doesn't keep your blood sugar at normal levels and when this is going on you are more prone to heart disease.

So I wanted to pass along a great food to eat if you have diabetes....NUTS! A study showed that diabetics who eat nuts are less likely to develop heart disease; walnuts, pistachios, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, hazel nuts, pine nuts, and macadamia nuts all rank among the best to reduce heart disease risk. Eating nuts is beneficial for anyone whether you have diabetes or not. People who regularly eat nuts are less likely to have heart attacks or heart disease.
