Def Leppard's Joe Elliott Says He's Nervous About Induction Speech

As the frontman of one of rock's more popular bands, one might not think Joe Elliott would have a problem addressing crowds. But he says he's a little nervous about his upcoming acceptance speech when Def Leppard is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. "Getting up and going ‘How’s everybody doing? Are we ready to rock?’ is a lot easier than standing there, for God knows how long, trying to acknowledge and hope to God you haven’t forgot anybody — people that go back all the way to the beginning of the band, which is 40-odd years ago," Elliott says. "So, no pressure." Def Leppard will be inducted by Queen’s Brian May at the ceremony, set for tonight/Friday, March 29, in Cleveland.
