Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx Talks 'The Dirt' Audiobook

Did Mötley Crüe retire too early? That's a question Nikki Sixx posed to Tommy Lee as the pair enjoyed a recent lunch. With the success of the band's biopic The Dirt, "sales are up some 2,000%," according to Variety.

Coming on the heels of the Netflix movie, the band will re-release their best-selling tome by the same name in audiobook form on June 25th.

Sixx reveals Crüe "tossed around" reading their own voice parts, like he did for his "Heroin Diaries" autobiography, but logistics didn't work out. Still, Sixx says they're "super happy" with how it came out.

The unabridged version will take a bigger bite out of listeners' wallets than other audiobooks, costing $29, but it's also a longer length, clocking in at close to 15 hours. The audiobook is available now for pre-order!
