You see #WednesdayWisdom all over social media so today I wanted to talk about being happy.

If you want to be happy, stop wanting to be happy. This is according to the Ten Percent Happier mediation app. They say we are on a non-stop treadmill of wanting, seeking, something pleasant like food or a glass of wine, etc. We are always wanting to be doing something different. Or wanting the world around us to be different.

How many times have you gotten something you wanted and then quickly went back to feeling uneasy? Stop the wanting. Just enjoy where you are right now or as R.E.M. says "Stand in the place where you are."
