When you were growing up did your mom or dad tell you "Don't cut the crust off of your bread, it's the healthiest part?"
Turns out bread crust isn't any healthier than the rest of the slice. The trick is to give them a piece of whole-grain bread so if they want to cut the crust off they are still getting the benefits of the bread. There are other things on the outside that are healthier than the inside like a potato for example. A potato skin does have more nutrients than the inside of the potato!
