The cooler temperatures are here. Here's some tips to stay safe this rainy, cold season:
- Do not drive into flooded areas.
- In case the power goes out you want to have on hand ways to stay warm like extra blankets; sleeping bags; warm winter coats; a gas or log fireplace; maybe a portable space heater but put it at least 3 feet or more from anything that may catch on fire.
- Stay hydrated! In winter, people feel less thirsty, San Francisco Department of Public Health says we should drink 6 – 8 glasses of liquid a day, in cold weather.
