The rock world is coming together with aid for those battling and suffering from the fallout of the Australian bushfires burning across the country.
Saying that they are "totally overwhelmed" at the level of destruction, Metallica has pledged AU$750,000 ($515,000 USD) to firefighters in New South Wales "to aid in the relief efforts."
Wrapping his show in Sydney, Elton John has also offered one million dollars, taking note of "the plight of the animals" and the loss of their habitat, which he says, "is on a biblical scale".
