Wellness Shot: One Swipe Or Tap Driving Law

Lessons we learned from Officer Rich Torres, after he pulled Christie over for using her phone in her car!

1.You cannot text or hold your cell phone to talk on it while driving. Let’s say you want to use your phone for navigation, it has to be mounted on your vehicle’s windshield or dashboard or center console in a way that does not hinder your view of the road*

2. You can ONLY activate or deactivate a feature or function with a motion of a single swipe or tap of the your fingers.*

3. This means no texting while driving, including opening/reading texts, no sending texts. ** Drivers under 18 may not use a cellphone at all***
