Wellness Shot: How To Focus On The Gratitude

Even though we’re getting used to this “new normal” life of sheltering in place, wearing face masks, working from home and staying physically distant from each other when we go out, those are major changes to our lives and I’m hearing from many friends they still have an underlying level of anxiety. I reached out to motivational speaker Troy Nix who has a book coming out about staying positive especially in trying times, Eternal Impact: Inspire Greatness In Yourself And Others. His number one technique to maintain our mental health balance? Remind ourselves of what we have to be grateful for!

Quick note-I have also suffered Post-Partum Depression. That was a medical condition which required me to seek professional help and medication. If you are feeling extremely overwhelmed by the current COVID-19 events you can call the Disaster Distress Helpline 1-800-985-5990. They are there 24/7, 365. I tested this number for you and got a really comforting counselor. They can refer you to resources you might need for additional support. If they’re busy try again they want to help you! 1-800-985-5990.
