Wellness Shot: How To Combat The Quarantine Blues

Greater Bay Area- American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

• The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention wants to remind you that physical distancing doesn’t have to mean social distancing. We are all impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. We all have mental health, and you are not alone in what you’re going through.

• One of the ways we can take care of our mental health – and be there for others – is to stay connected with the people we care about during this uncertain time. Right now, we all have an extraordinary opportunity to come together within our families and our communities to reduce the stigma that often surrounds mental health.

• The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention reminds you that it’s just as important to care for your mental health as it is to care for your physical health, on an everyday basis. Focus on the things that are in your control: stay connected with others, actively manage your mental health, don’t be afraid to have a caring, open conversation if you or someone you love is struggling, and seek professional help if needed.

• We will get through this together! Help is always available. Learn what you can do to take care of your own mental health, and those you care about during this time of uncertainty, at afsp.org/covid19.
