There’s a new protection for renters in the bay area starting today due to Covid-19. A bill in California has been passed that would temporarily ban evictions for people who have not paid their rent because of the coronavirus starting from March 4- August 31. The bill does not forgive the missed payments. 

Starting today, September 1 tenants must pay at least 25 % of rent to avoid eviction tenants are protected until Feb 1, 2021

Verizon Wireless is hiring nearly 1,000 employees in work-from-home positions. The full-time customer service positions Verizon is hiring require a high school diploma or GED.

Verizon has positions located across the country with some listed as:

  • One or more years of customer services and/or sales experience
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to work split shifts as necessary

Our hearts are heavy upon learning that a volunteer firefighter from Texas who came to California to help battle the fires has died. The name of the firefighter has not yet been released but we do know she was a grandmother.
