Over 22,000 Bay Area residents are waking up without power. Extreme fire conditions have forced PG&E to cut off power in 7 counties with the hopes of restoring power by 10 pm on Friday. The goal is to prevent fires sparking from power lines that are damaged or knocked down by high winds.
PG&E has set up several Community Resource Centers, meant to provide anyone impacted with ADA compliant restrooms, hand-washing and charging stations, WiFi and more.
