Former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony say a concert honoring Eddie Van Halen "will happen."
In a new interview, Hagar said, "It's gotta happen. Of course, it's gonna happen."
Hagar then acknowledged nothing is official yet, but a tribute is "an absolute must."
Anthony added, "We've got to celebrate the music. So much good music."
Meanwhile, Michael Anthony Says He Has Reconnected With Alex Van Halen.
While Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony was unable to reconcile with Eddie Van Halen, he has reconnected with a different member of the family.
Anthony says that he has reconnected with the band's drummer and brother to Eddie, Alex Van Halen.
Anthony says that he spoke with Alex right after Eddie's passing and is hopeful that there will be more conversations between the two in the future.
Anthony said that he had previously not spoken to any members of Van Halen after leaving the band about 15 years ago.
