I'll never forget the firs time I saw this - same time the rest of the world did. It was the 1985 American Music Awards show and I swear there has never been a more exciting awards show before or since Prince lit up the stage with this one! Prince has had many memorable TV performances - remember the booty-less pants he wore at the 1991 MTV Music Video Awards? If you Haven't seen that, IT'S A MUST! And who could ever forget the Superbowl XLI Halftime show where the rain came down seemingly on cue from the Heavens above during Purple Rain!
Goes without saying, he was the greatest of his time in the 80's. Gone too soon, he will be missed for years to come. Thank God we have his music and videos. Happy Birthday, Prince.
