According to SF Gate, the estate of Michael Jackson filed a lawsuit against HBO for publishing a documentary. The estate claims that the cable network violated a long-standing agreement with the late pop star dating back to 1992. The documentary titled "Leaving Neverland" is scheduled to air on HBO in early March. The suit seeks damages exceeding $100 million. The estate’s attorney, Howard Weitzman, said HBO breached an agreement not to disparage Jackson by producing or selling stories about the singer which were unvetted.
