Vinyl Records On Pace To Outsell CDs For First Time Since 1986

As a vinyl record collector myself, this is very good to hear. I kinda suspected that it someday would. Lots of comments have been made from a technical side about why vinyl records are better but the reason most people who do are probably a bit more basic than that. Vinyl records are just cooler to own! I went to a wine-tasting at someone's home a few months ago and instead of them just playing music from an endless streaming source, the host went to her records and threw on something cool. The sounds as well as the visual experience really set the mood in very good way! So now it looks more evident than ever that If current trends hold, sales of vinyl records are set to outpace the sales of compact discs this year for the first time since 1986, according to the latest report from the Recording Industry Association of America.
