Bad Bunny has been breaking gender norms since he started in the industry. People have been criticizing him for painting his nails and even wearing long skirts. He has been standing up to represent gender fluidity in everything he has done.
His latest album called Yo Hago Lo Que Me De La Gana(I do whatever I want to do) was released on February 29 and has been releasing music videos. On instagram he released a picture dressed as a woman announcing the release of his new video and it started trending right away.
The song starts off with a typical reggaeton beat that makes you want to dance. Bad Bunny is seen in drag throughout the video and we even see him dancing with himself! The song empowers women saying they dance alone and don't need a man. At the end of the video there is a message saying "Si no quiere bailar contigo, respeta, ella perrea sola" translating too 'If she doesn't want to dance with you, respect it, she dances alone'.
