Mayor Libby Schaaf has now lifted the curfew from Oakland. She went to twitter to say she is proud of the cities fight for social justice.
Effective immediately, Oakland is lifting the curfew. We will continue to facilitate safe spaces for our residents to demonstrate and express themselves peacefully and passionately. As a native Oaklander, I am proud of our city’s long tradition of fighting for social justice.
